
ABOUT
Amy Urban, AIA graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and practiced geotechnical engineering in Atlanta, Washington DC and New York. She worked for years on the redevelopment of the Colgate Waterfront project in Jersey City before returning to school to earn a Masters in Architecture.
Amy moved back to New York City and worked on the Fulton Street Transit Center project and on several large residential and commercial buildings in Manhattan before starting her eponymous practice in 2008. Amy partnered with Laura Casale, AIA in 2012. Amy has completed diverse residential and commercial projects in Manhattan, Connecticut, and on Long Island's East End and Gold Coast, where she resides with her family. Amy completed her license in 2017 and is a Registered Architect in New York State.
In addition to running her practice, Amy mentors young architects and is active in architectural study and continuing education. Amy’s team includes architects with whom she has worked at prior firms and graduates of her alma mater.
